June 09– Jun. 9–SANTA ANA — A 53-year-old man was found fatally shot in the driveway of a home in Santa Ana early Sunday, police said.
Officers sent to the scene at 3:45 a.m. found the man lying in the driveway in the 1000 Block of South Austin Street with a gunshot wound to the upper torso. He was transported to a trauma center, where he was pronounced dead, Santa Ana Police Department said in a news release.
Investigators were working to determine a motive for the shooting.
"Detectives are attempting to identify and locate witnesses who can shed light on this incident," they said in the statement.
The man has not been publicly identified, and no additional details were immediately available.
